Roger Osborne, shipwright, working on PZ 425, near the 'Old Quay', Newlyn, Cornwall, England.
Roger has been a shipwright for 25 years and at the time of the photograph was working for VSR Shipwrights.
It is reputed that Newlyn's medieval 'Old Quay', still in existence, was the last port of call by the Pilgrim Fathers prior to their departure to America. This was probably in order to collect fresh water, as there was an outbreak of cholera in Plymouth.
