The Karen, Thai-Burma border, 2004
Saw Kwe and his daughter in the Lep Per Her IDP camp, situated on the Burmese side of the Moei River.
Two years earlier he was blinded when a friend stepped on a landmine next to him (his friend was killed).
Should the hostilities come to an end and people return home, it is feared that there would be a significant increase in landmine victims due to the large number of un-mapped mines that have been laid.
