The Karen, Thai-Burma border, 2004
Pa They Ton, 60 years old, arrived in Lep Per Her five years ago with his wife, after they had been persecuted by the Burmese military.
He finds conditions in the camp harsh and desperately wants to go home, although doesn’t think he ever will, as he believes that the Burmese military will not stop persecuting the Karen in his lifetime.
