Michel DeLunardo, fisherman, working at sea aboard the trawler 'Risten', whose home port is Le Guilvinec, France.
The boat is mainly fishing for Nephrops (Langoustine), but has a smaller by-catch of other species.
The fleet leaves between 3am and 5am each morning, returning between 4pm and 5pm the same day.
In the summer months, the returning boats are greeted by hundreds of onlookers, both locals and tourists, to watch the spectacle of the catch being landed and ferried into the market for the fish auction.
Nowadays, “les Guilvinistes”, as the fishermen are called in the area, are recognised for their courage and intrepid nature.
