The Herring Festival is held every year in November and lasts for two days.
Also known as 'La Fete du Hareng', it attracts crowds of people, including visitors and locals alike, who gather to eat barbecued herring and toast the arrival of the first bottles of Beaujolais Nouveau.
The festival is a major attraction and also acts as a celebration of the fishing industry that includes a variety of music, including local people singing French folk songs in traditional dress.
